Puataukanave International Hotel - 7 Night Package from $1,799 pp

The tongue-twisting Puataukanave means "hibiscus" in Tongan, but locals call this new property simply "Pua's Hotel." The restaurant and a building with 14 of the rooms sit right beside the Port of Refuge in the middle of Neiafu. With their balconies facing the water, rooms in this building are worth the extra money. These have gleaming tile floors, double beds, desks, and ample bathrooms with glass-enclosed corner showers. This hotel was only opened in late 2003 and it is a great addition to Vava’u. This quiet yet central location makes Pua's the ideal location for exploring the islands on day trips and returning to Neiafu to sample the bars and restaurants.
