Fiji Island Resorts - Beachcomber
Accommodation At Beachcomber you can choose the accommodation to suit your style and budget. A private Bure on the Beach, Twin Lodge Rooms with private facilities or Dormitory. All 22 Bures and 16 Twin Lodge Rooms have sun decking with private facilities (including hot showers), refrigerator, tea/coffee makers and ceiling fans. Staying in a traditional Fijian Bure is a magical experience. It is cool in warm temperatures, filled with decorative Fijian charm and an ideal relaxing place to read a novel or soak up the sun on your own private deck equipped with sun lounges. There are several styles of Bure' accommodations: Beachfront, Oceanivew, Lodge and Dormitory. King or single beds are available. Dining Island Feasts - The island drums will be a pleasant interruption signaling that it is KANA time - time for breakfast , lunch or dinner! All of the delicious Fijian and International dishes are served buffet style at convenient hours and you will have plenty of time to linger over your meal. All of the meals are included in the room prices and you can eat as much as you want. Beverages - The barefoot bar is unique and right where you want it - on the beach with golden sand stretching right up under the bar stool. It is ready and waiting to quench your thirst with everything from freshly squeezed fruit juice, wine, spirits and ice cold Fiji Draught Beer, to the most exotic island cocktail. Complimentary fruit juices are served with breakfast and tea and coffee are provided four times per day.
Entertainment Island Entertainment - Night time at Beachcomber can be as relaxing or exciting as you want to make it. There are Fijian Cultural & Polynesian floor shows four nights a week, Fiji's most famous crab race and nightly entertainment from a local or imported DJ and the occasional visiting live band. Nightly dancing featuring Beachcombers very own "Bula Dance". Beach parties and having fun is the normal thing on the island. Polynesian Entertainment - Polynesians from all over the pacific reside in Fiji. Polynesian entertainment is as normal in Fiji as is the traditional cultural entertainment. Beautiful Hula girls entertain with Samoan warrior fire dancers every Tuesday and Friday nights. The magic of the 'South Seas', is captured right here on Beachcomber island. Fijian Cultural Environment - The staff on the Island combine to bring you their traditional songs and dances every Wednesday and Saturday nights. Harmonies come naturally to Fijians and the singing of Beachcomber's staff is the most beautiful sound you will ever hear. The ladies perform sitting and dancing action 'mekes' and the Men perform warrior battle 'Mekes' that send a shiver down your spine! After the shows you will be invited to join in with a "Taralala" or "Tui Boto", a free for all jovial snake or Congo dance with lots of laughter!

Watersports - We offer an enormous variety of excitement on, under and above the sea. Our staff are highly skilled and many have qualifications both local and overseas. Activities include:
Fishing - Warm water, ultra deep ocean and a labyrinth of reefs and passages make Fiji an exciting place to fish. Game fish caught here include Wahoo (probably the fastest fish in the ocean), Sail Fish and Marlin (legendary for their fighting tactics), Barracuda (Fiji holds the world record), Giant Trevally, Tuna and MahiMahi (beautiful colors, strong fighting and delicious to eat). Fighting one of these heavyweight tropical speedsters is a fantastic experience. Out-of-Water - Seafari Island Hopping- Mainland Shopping Trips- Volleyball -Mini Golf- Coconut Tree Climbing- Coconut Husking- Basket & Hat Weaving- Cocktail Mixing- Island Style Cooking Lessons- Turtle Feeding- Fish Feeding- Coral Viewing- Sky TV - Group Games-Board Games Excursions - Cruise by speedboat to Yanuya Village to partake in a Kava ceremony, shop for local gifts at Shell Market and visit the local school. You then head to world famous Modriki Island (location for Tom Hank's Castaway movie) for snorkeling and lazing in the sun and then back to Beachcomber for lunch. Pub-crawl - Depart Beachcomber Island for a cruise to Castaway Island Resort, Malolo Island Resort and Musket Coves famous island bars for a coldie or two at each resort and back for happy hour at Beachcomber for lunch. Scuba Diving - Beachcomber's professional dive operation, Subsurface, offers clients an introductory lesson to the world of Scuba Diving in the safety of the dive training pool. Once you are hooked, dive with PADI instructors in the marine sanctuary, which surrounds our island paradise. Subsurface has a 5 star PADI dive rating and caters to all diver experience levels, including Nitrox.
