Tamanu Beach
Kia Orana! The Tamanu Beach Resort now features twenty-two bungalows, two freshwater swimming pools, two bars and a restaurant right on the beach, 220 meters of beach front between the two properties owned and operated by two brothers and their families. A first and lasting impression is friendliness of the staff. Everyone that works at Tamanu Beach are related to the owners and the pride they have in their resort shows in the way they present their services. Their hospitality is always genuine. The private white-sand beach borders Aitutaki's superb lagoon providing fantastic swimming, snorkeling and canoeing. Around the freshwater swimming pool is a large deck for your pleasure providing the setting for evening cocktails and Sunday BBQs.
Tamanu Beach Village has two separate areas. Tamanu Bungalows are self-contained studio style Ares providing that perfect setting for couples with a no child policy in that section of our village. The Rooms all feature Full Kitchen facilities, fridge, air conditioning, ceiling fans,
hairdryers, safe, IDD Telephone and Room Service on request. The other area is for our new Manea Suites. These are one bedroom suites so large they comfortably accept a family of four. Although the expected market is couples, by having a separate bedroom, we are able to accommodate two couples or a family of four with children. They all feature Bar-fridge, air conditioning, ceiling fans, hairdryers, safe, IDD Telephone, TV, iron & ironing board, Tea & Coffee facilities and Room Service on request. In this area of the village, we only allow children over the age of 5 years.
Tamanu Beach Village also offers a gift shop and the Beach Restaurant and Bar which is a new 80-seater restaurant right on
the beach. Built in the traditional ‘Are’ style, with local Tamanu timber (mahogany) and large terracotta tiles; Tamanu Restaurant offers guests a wonderful experience combining a blend of culture, tradition, superb beach location and friendly Aitutaki hospitality.
